The Bronx is notorious for being rough. Growing up there taught me that art and community are not only necessary for surviving difficulty, they help transcend it. I have performed as a dancer and actor, and worked behind the scenes in theater, film, and television. I’ve written plays, screenplays, blogs, articles, and marketing copy, as well as facilitated personal development workshops and been a community organizer. The common denominator among all these pursuits has been collaboration, and now, as an editor and teacher, I find joyous satisfaction in supporting writers to raise their voices and bring their ideas to life.
